For starting of a new journey.
Hey Aabha,
Lots have been told during these years. We know the importance we had in each other's life. So, this is not to praise you or to make you feel happy of this precious day but it is to try to make this day a starting of a new journey for you.
I will tell you a story today.
It started by making a Cup of Coffee.
A girl decided to start her journey sharp at 9:00 pm. She placed a book with blank pages on her desk and a new pen besides it. Then she sat on the hard chair in the corner of the room with a confidence to draft her thoughts in paper under the night lamp.
She stopped! She reached a white space. Her legs started shaking. Hands started shivering. Fingers unconsciously started rubbing her lips. But, then a bell of reminder to achieve her goal rang and brought her back to the real state. She then took the pen in her hand, stream of thoughts started flowing in her mind. In this abundance of emotions her search for right words began. She lost her sleep and started feeling thirsty. She could feel the flow of blood inside her body as never before. In the rhythm of ‘Tik’ of the clock her mind started playing with her. By the first night she had managed to write 5000 words.
The 5000 words still didn’t define a clear vision. Weeks and months passed the number of words increased but the outcome was still not predictable. But, the drive to reach the destiny kept her moving forward. Letting away the desire to live the pomp’s of stardom, she started defining her goal on basis of her past achievements. She became more focus towards her story’s plot. She had now created a meaning out of daily happenings that never meant important before. Her close friends, family and even acquaintance reflected behavior similar to that of her story’s characters. Days now passed faster than ever before.
Writing became Hell!
She felt her book as almost complete. But then questions bombarded her. Have I chose the Right Theme? Had I missioned to have my first book to be like this? Will my readers appreciate it? Will I have any readers for my book?
Her story took hold of her rather than her controlling it. Life had a period. The hours after 9:00pm seemed to have no meaning anymore. In this hibernation she then remembered the pleasure of writing. Characters now seemed to have a different meaning. Maybe this was necessary! Her story was now in a new phase. A much required change took place. She again started living for a purpose.
Now, it was time to reach the peak. The discomfort of making grammatical errors, spelling mistakes and not having the right quality started hitting on her face. She read it up and down, right and left. She asked her closest friends to proofread it. Closing her eyes she finally decided to call her book as ready.
She lost her patience. Her hands started itching.
While turning the pages with words that she own, eyes got wet and lungs expanded. She hugged the book hard to her chest until she got to sleep for the big day tomorrow.
Then a new dream took birth.
Your friend,
Sonali
