Law of the Forest Lienli

Lienli is a forest. Under the monarchy of King Lion named ‘Lien’, forest Lienli has been known for its monthly ceremonial meetings, days when the royal cave opens its gate for all its citizens to put up their problems towards the King. Here, every elephant dreams to stand on the gate of the royal cave. To stretch their trump high, in the honor of the lion king. It was the end of the month and news of the ceremonial meeting was the talk of the forest. All the animals had gathered to be part of the meeting. Two Elephants, old and young had taken their position. ‘King is coming! King is coming!’ exclaimed Rat, the knight. The Elephants trumpet welcomed King and brought the whole crowd to attention. King Lion, Lien, walked towards his throne, raised above by two massive blocks of shiny rocks. Rat, the knight, stood upright beside the lion. Then, Cow, the oldest animal in the forest stood up and asked the meeting to proceed. Utter silence spread, as always. Between all ...

Will Obama be the last US president?... May be or may be not…

Was I too ignorant to not have admired any other American president before President Barack Obama? No, it's just that there hasn't been any other President apart from Barack Obama, who has that charming and ambient personality, capable enough to grab the attention of a girl who keeps no relation with politics. I don’t have any data ready to prove his success in his tenure of the presidency as at this point I don't want to judge him with matrix and percentage. These aren’t the factors that drive me towards him, but it is his words which symbolize a true leader. Blind Baba Vanga who predicted 9/11, Brexit and the birth of ISIS warns ‘Obama will be the last US president’. Is her prediction true? May be or may be not… Predictions are not made to be enforced on us, but are on use to accept it or not. If there exist anyone who can take the space each one of us has for President Barack Obama, then the prediction is wrong. But conversely, I will not give my ad...

Just a coffee!

Image
He came to ask me out, to have a coffee in near by shop. Just a minute walk away it is, said he with a small voice. Confused I was, I tried not to look at his eyes. Making myself look stupid, I wanted to run from his sight. Moving my bag hanging from one side to both my shoulders, I said i have a tuition to attend. Assuring to meet next time, I waved good bye. During the slow walk for home, was a race running within my mind. The silent road had an eco of what was going inside my mind. It was just a coffee.. It was just a coffee.. Its just a coffee! Its just a coffee!

MY OATH OF CREATIVITY

I listened to songs and reflected on every words of its lyrics, to learn to craft my words in a beautiful way. I turned the pages of books I had read years back, to recapture the essence of its lines that had once made my heart blow. Still, I lost my grab on the creative me, And remained alone in this zone of creation. When smoothness didn’t fill my papers, I went in search for pain and aggression. I wounded myself with knife to feel the pain, to spread red blood onto white sheets. I ran to the terrace to capture the freedom of flying birds, to trace it in my piece of art. I became selfish and chose to cage those birds, to keep their freedom alive within me. With an excuse of not having stolen them but only stored, to release as soon as my papers would grow their wings. This didn’t take me anywhere, Crunching me down, all papers of my notebook was of waste now, I wanted to calm down and take a deep breathe, I wanted to rest! So...

My Best Friends!

Sonali: Hey! (Salisha and friends chatting) Anjila: Why were you late for the assembly Salisha? Salisha: I was reading. I was in the last chapter of the book, I didn’t notice the time. Sonali: (Excitedly) Which Book? Salisha: (Name of a Book) My reading journey started when I was in 8 th grade. It’s hard to believe that I knew nothing about “reading habits’ before that. As a teen, I wasn’t very social and loneliness pricked me time to time. I always felt the need to make friends. Most of my classmates were in the first year of their teenage life! This was the time when they were busy trying their hands on getting a boyfriend for the very first time. Between all this, I was busy searching for true friends. So, in my hunt for true friends I tried to fit in the smallest group of my classmates. This was an all girls group, supposedly the most noisy and popular ones. They were talking about Books. Chicken Soup, Princess Diaries, Harry Potter. At first I felt di...

For starting of a new journey.

Hey Aabha, Lots have been told during these years. We know the importance we had in each other's life. So, this is not to praise you or to make you feel happy of this precious day but it is to try to make this day a starting of a new journey for you. I will tell you a story today. It started by making a Cup of Coffee. A girl decided to start her journey sharp at 9:00 pm. She placed a book with blank pages on her desk and a new pen besides it. Then she sat on the hard chair in the corner of the room with a confidence to draft her thoughts in paper under the night lamp. She stopped! She reached a white space. Her legs started shaking. Hands started shivering. Fingers unconsciously started rubbing her lips. But, then a bell of reminder to achieve her goal rang and brought her back to the real state. She then took the pen in her hand, stream of thoughts started flowing in her mind. In this abundance of emotions her search for right words began. She lost ...

My Encounter with Tiger

I am a little girl living in a crowded town. In the northern end of the town lies a dense forest. The forest invites me every evening with its comforting bed of leaves. The fragrance in the air pulls me as escape from the rush of the day gone by. Walking through the wild grasses towering trees reflects its abundance. Blending in the exotic canvas, breaking the silence birds sing lullaby. The streaming sun embraces the forest with gold. Forest beckons me in its pulsing heart. Like every other evening reaching to the wilderness, today I could hear the scampering animal behind the bush. The feel of whose breathe reflected of strength. His shadow covered my legs and pushed me back to the artificial world. We have come across each other many times. Eyes have met, yet we remain as acquaintance. I have not been disconnected due to his fearful eyes. Neither because of his padded strong claws which leaves me spell bound nor because of his love for blood and flesh which makes me numb....
